Country Club Kid

Jax was in school today. Me and Mom got alone time today on the golf course. We golfed 9 holes. My mom gave me driving lessons, to drive the golf cart. I was sitting in her lap driving for two holes. Then after the two holes, since I got really good, my mom sat next to me instead of behind me in the cart. She was just chillin', eating Fritos while I was driving. I drove so well that on every hole I drove.  After 9 holes we got popcorn and a hot dog. The hot dogs were only $1 each - surprising right? Hot dogs always taste best on the golf course - mom told me that.

An hour later, we went to Baskin Robbins where my mom introduced me to the CLOWN CONE. It's a cone that's decorated as a clown with ice cream and frosting, and has a cookie base for his clothes. My mom used to love those when she was a kid. And I am a COUNTRY CLUB KID!

Excellent Enchiladas!

Yesterday night we had enchiladas and it had onions, green chilis, ground beef, and cheese. When I ate it, I ate like I haven't eaten in years. I had it with yellow mexican rice. I had seconds, because as soon as everyone cleared their plate, I wanted seconds. I was the first one to clean my plate. Jax didn't even like it. He ate four servings of rice... and that's it.

Meatball Magnificent

Daddy cooked us salisbury steak meatballs with onions and noodles. I hate onions but only when they're raw. When he served it to me, I took a bite, and it was kind of buttery and soft. In some way... a tiny tiny weency bit, I didn't like it. But mostly I did. My favorite part was probably the noodles because they were buttery and cheesy.

I rate this meal as a 7.

Bodacious BBQ

It wasn't our plan to go to Bubbalou's BBQ, but since Mom and Dad picked up a glass table from craigslist, and it was too big to fit in Dad's truck, we had to let it stick out the back of the trunk - and we couldn't drive anywhere except for somewhere that was ON the way home. So we pulled in to Bubbalou's. They had a counter full of pie and cake, and it looked SO good. I got a pulled pork sandwich with fries and I put a little corn on it as a topping with some BBQ and hot sauce.  On the way out, I had to go to the bathroom... and when I got in there, it smelled like eggs. Fried eggs.

Salmon Time!

Last week we were in Publix and we sampled one of the Apron meals. It was SO tasty that we decided to get the recipe. Dad made it tonight. It had this delicious ranch buttermilk sauce with the green onions and the spicy spicy corn cakes. Jax was stuffing and stuffing his face with all that sauce. He wanted more and more of it. The corn cakes were like slightly burnt and crunchy and firey - and Mom loves that taste, so do I. So I think Dad made it for us because he knows we like that.

Tasty Toast

Instead of my Dad cooking... my MOM made this, and I helped. We cut up the challah bread, and we snacked on it because we had too much, and we were very hungry - we spread butter on it, and it was very tasty. Mom made a sauce for the challah... a mixture of eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar. I dipped each piece in there, and then put it in the pan. When it came out, it looked SO good. But for the finishing touch, we added powdered sugar and syrup. We served it with ham. It was amazing. I think this was the best breakfast dinner I've ever had.
